Job Summary

Haptik, a global leader in conversational AI and chat automation, is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our AI and Machine Learning team. The ideal candidate will leverage data-driven insights, develop advanced algorithms, and contribute to building intelligent systems that enhance customer experiences. This role requires a strong foundation in statistical modeling, machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP), combined with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize machine learning models for NLP, recommendation engines, predictive analytics, and other AI-driven solutions.
  • Conduct data exploration, preprocessing, and feature engineering on large-scale datasets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and business intelligence to translate business requirements into AI solutions.
  • Evaluate model performance, perform hyperparameter tuning, and deploy models into production environments.
  • Continuously research and apply state-of-the-art machine learning and AI techniques.
  • Generate actionable insights from data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to building best practices in AI and ML development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages for data analysis and model development.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Expertise in NLP, deep learning, and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib/Seaborn.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data tools (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex datasets.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–5 years of professional experience in data science, AI, or ML roles.
  • Proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning models in real-world applications.
  • Experience in conversational AI, recommendation systems, or predictive analytics is highly desirable.

Working Hours

  • Full-time role, typically Monday to Friday.
  • Flexibility for hybrid or remote working arrangements may be available depending on team requirements.
