Your Mission

As a Remote Business Intelligence Analyst focused on Retail, you will design and maintain the dashboards, reports, and analytical models that Wayfair's merchandising and category teams depend on for daily decision-making. You will translate business questions into analytical frameworks, extract insights from complex datasets, and communicate findings to stakeholders who use them to move the business forward.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain retail analytics dashboards tracking category sales performance, margin health, inventory levels, and customer behavior metrics
  • Partner with category managers and merchandising leaders to understand their analytical needs and deliver data solutions that address them
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, join, and aggregate data from Wayfair's data warehouse
  • Develop models to evaluate pricing strategies, promotional effectiveness, and assortment expansion opportunities
  • Produce weekly and monthly retail performance summaries for category and leadership review
  • Proactively identify trends and anomalies in retail data and surface insights before they become issues
  • Support ad-hoc analytical requests from cross-functional business stakeholders

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or retail analytics
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience working in large-scale data warehouse environments
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Strong retail intuition — you understand how e-commerce businesses drive revenue and manage margins
  • Excellent data communication skills with the ability to translate findings for non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, statistics, computer science, economics, or a related quantitative field
