About the Role

American Express is seeking a detail-driven Remote Data Entry Specialist to join its operations support team. You will be responsible for entering, verifying, and managing card member and business account data across Amex platforms — supporting the reporting accuracy and account integrity that one of the world's most trusted financial brands depends on. This is a full-time remote role with a structured weekday schedule and Amex's full benefits package.

What You Will Do

  • Input card member data, financial account records, and business account information into Amex platforms with 99%+ accuracy
  • Cross-check all entered data against original source documents and correct any identified errors before final submission
  • Generate and format data entry summary reports from completed batches and submit to operations leads on schedule
  • Process inbound card member correspondence — digitize, categorize, and input service request data into relevant systems
  • Maintain meticulously organized digital file systems for all entered data batches and source documents
  • Adhere strictly to Amex data security protocols, privacy regulations, and card member data handling standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma — one or more years of data entry or office administration experience preferred
  • Typing speed of 50 or more words per minute with a documented accuracy rate of 99% or higher
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency — pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data filtering, and conditional formatting
  • Exceptional attention to detail — able to spot inconsistencies and errors in large data volumes quickly
  • Private, secure home workspace dedicated to handling sensitive financial data in compliance with Amex standards
  • Reliable home computer, stable internet, and willingness to complete Amex remote work certification requirements
