Our team is looking for an experienced Senior Solutions Architect/Product Manager to join the Apple Store Online Product Team, with a focus on the infrastructure and tooling that builds our e-commerce experience. This role owns the product roadmap and delivery for the core systems and platforms that enable scalability, reliability and delivery, with a vision for the future of online shopping. This is a technical role that links between business, design, and engineering to deliver incredible experiences and products to our customers.

Description

We are a high performing team supporting Apple’s initiatives and representing the future of digital retail. In this role, you will be responsible for helping define and drive the Apple Store Online’s technical architecture and roadmap. pipelines.

Responsibilities
  • Dive into the details and help drive projects leading multi-functional efforts delivering platform upgrades and optimizing our tools and processes.
  • Work with key partners, such as other Product Managers, Product Marketing, Merchandising, Digital Content Management, Engineering, Operations and more, to evolve our platform architecture.
  • Challenge old assumptions, to take us into the future - all while keeping our existing multi-billion dollar business running flawlessly.
  • Build and scale complex distributed systems, that will guide critical architecture decisions, and drive the adoption of cloud native patterns, Infrastructure as Code, and modern delivery pipelines.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years Technical Product Management, Technical Program Management, and/or Engineering Management
  • Proven expertise in designing and delivering complex, large-scale, multi-tenant systems, including cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and highly available platforms.
  • Deep understanding of scalability, reliability, and performance optimization for critical services.
  • Track record of developing and delivering multi-year experience and capability roadmaps with complex interdependencies
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a technical degree, or 7+ years of relevant professional experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with new technologies like AI, Deep Learning, and their practical applications in digital commerce
  • Familiarity with 3rd Party e-commerce marketplace integrations and the underlying platform and API architecture required to support them
  • Experience working with publishing, merchandising, and other key e-commerce systems, with a focus on ensuring scalability, automation and seamless integration to the larger platform
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams, in a multi-lingual/cultural environment
  • Ability to challenge conventions and debate solutions to identify the best possible outcome for customers
  • Ability to communicate effectively, across all levels of the organization, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,100 and $305,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
