Apply via Dice today!<br><br><strong>Software Engineer Mid-Level<br><br></strong><strong>Location: </strong>Johnston, IA (<em>Candidates must be available to work onsite Tuesday through Thursday each week).<br><br></em><strong>Duration: Through end of the year (expected to extend) <br><br></strong><strong>Project Overview:<br><br></strong>This role involves developing and maintaining application features for data processing pipelines and full-stack web applications. These applications primarily support image and data processing for seed product development within end client's R&D<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure data processing pipelines and full-stack web applications.</li><li>Write and execute unit and integration tests for all developed features.</li><li>Apply sound design principles and coding best practices to deliver high-quality solutions.</li><li>Deploy applications to AWS and Azure using DevOps methodologies including CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and infrastructure automation.</li><li>Collaborate closely with engineers and analysts through agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and reviews.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Skills & Experience:<br><br></strong><ul><li>At least 7 years of experience developing high-quality, multi-tier applications.</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in full-stack web development using Python, C#, JavaScript, and Angular. Python is required for current projects.</li><li>At least 1 year of experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, S3, and RDS, or equivalent experience with other cloud providers.</li><li>1 year of experience in database-backed application development, including writing SQL queries.</li><li>1 year of experience debugging full-stack web applications.</li><li>1 year of experience modifying CI/CD pipelines.</li><li>1 year of experience working in a Linux environment.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases, including ORM concepts.</li><li>Experience working in agile development environments within small teams.</li></ul>
