Technicians at Centrica Business Solutions are on the front line of ensuring projects are on-time, completed in the safest possible manner, and that they are delivered with the highest quality, resulting in happy customers. As a Technician, you have the ability to directly influence the end result of a project, as well as work for a company that is not only making business facilities more efficient and less costly, but improving the safety, health and comfort of those working there.

Our Technician I contributions to the team include:

  • Working in the safest possible manner while following all Centrica Business Solutions and OSHA guidelines
  • Completing all work according to National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines.
  • Reporting to Foreman, Electrical Project Manager and/or Electrical Operations Manager to receive daily/ weekly assignments.
  • Maintaining a clean and prepared jobsite and eliminate all possible hazards.
  • Performing a variety of tasks involving the use of hand tools, power tools and equipment used to retrofit, replace and repair lighting fixtures.
  • Proper installation of lamps, ballasts and other lighting components of within various fixture types.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading of trucks/vans and staging material.
  • Properly maintaining all company property provided to perform jobs.
  • Interacting in a professional and respectful manner with coworkers and customers.
  • Participating in weekly safety meetings.
  • Completing all company required safety training programs.
  • Assisting in training new and current employees.

The core components of success are (i.e. must haves):

  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Work safely from ladders and various lifts
  • Active Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass a background test and drug screen
  • Willingness to Travel 1-6 weeks at a time
  • Willing to work overtime, nights, holidays, and weekends if needed

  • OSHA 10
  • Experience with energy conservation lighting projects
  • Mechanical experience and/or aptitude
  • Werner Ladder Training
