Position: Sr. Cost Analyst (Remote-Eastern Region) The Senior Cost Analyst leads the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of product costing, standard cost systems and margin analysis to drive profitable manufacturing decisions. This role involves ensuring accurate costs, monitoring variances, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities to optimize production costs and improve financial performance This is a Remote role. Must be within Eastern Standard Time. Intermittent visits to the Duncansville, PA facility will be expected as needed (estimated 1 time per Quarter) Responsibilities • Serves as the primary finance owner for inventory management & standard cost, maintaining accurate standard and actual product costs across multiple product lines and business segments • Monitor and investigate variances between actual costs and standard costs, providing actionable insights and recommendations • Formulate new policies and practices to enhance inventory accuracy and accountability • Define, develop and maintain complex cost models, aggregate data for inventory valuation and provide in-depth analysis • Develop and maintain the Excess and Obsolete Inventory model and drive action plan with cross functional teams • Lead PPV/VAVE performance through reporting and working with the operations team to develop action plans and countermeasures • Lead the coordination, planning and execution for the Physical Inventory • Factory finance Liaison for all SOX Audit, Annual Audit and Physical Inventory Audit • Establish and maintain robust financial controls within the manufacturing environment. • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. • Develop and maintain standard costs for products. • Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and process improvements • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost modelling to support strategic decision-making. • Conduct account reconciliations and analysis and drive process improvements to remove waste • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory and cost accounting • Implement and improve cost control tools, processes, and systems • Special projects as required Required Skills / Qualifications / Certifications / Tech Stack • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required. CPA or CMA certification preferred. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in inventory control in manufacturing. • Strong Cost Accounting background • Must have analytical rigor and communication skills translating data into recommendations leaders can act on • Must have thorough understanding of ERP system (Dynamics AX/365) • Must be able to work independently. Must be detailed, logical and accuracy oriented. • Must be able to work as a team player. • Must have an ability to meet deadlines. • Must be proficient in planning, organizing and prioritizing assignments. • Must have an ability to multitask. • Must have Continuous improvement mindset The base compensation range for this position is $90,000-$115,000 per annum. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon numerous factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
