GridGain is currently looking for a Senior Accountant to perform a wide variety of financial and accounting-related tasks. The candidate should be self-motivated and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. This role requires strong analytical abilities and a foundational knowledge of accounting principles. The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and must be a team player with a positive attitude and a desire to help the team be successful. Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities: • Perform month-end close activities, reconcile GL accounts, maintain accounting schedules, and review financial information to verify completeness and accuracy • Process AP via Bill.com, process check runs, review and post corporate credit card transactions through Ramp • Review and post global payroll journal entries, review employee expense reports, and enforce Corporate Expense Reimbursement policy • Perform GL functions, process cash transactions, perform bank reconciliations, and support the Accounting Manager with daily accounting activities • Liaise with 3rd party accounting firms regarding intercompany activities for 2+ subsidiaries. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the review of monthly intercompany transactions, balance sheet & P&L reconciliations, consolidation, and elimination entries • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports • Maintain the Co-wide fixed asset and lease schedules • Active participation in the annual audits by the external auditors and the yearly bank due diligence • Prepare documentation to support the accounting firms in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions • Maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions • Work with other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policies and applying observations and recommendations to operational issues • Perform other related accounting duties as assigned • Assist in various ad-hoc projects as needed Skills & Requirements: • BS degree in Accounting or Finance • 5+ years of experience in financial and accounting work • Advanced MS Office skills.
