We\'re searching for a Software Engineer to join our Behavior Planning Team!<br>In this role, you will<ul><li>Develop real-time algorithms for selecting safe and comfortable trajectories for a self-driving vehicle</li><li>Design and implement production-grade software for the Aurora Driver</li><li>Analyze large-scale real-world data to train and evaluate machine learning models and improve data pipelines supporting algorithm development.</li><li>Design metric suites and testing workflows for rapid iteration on algorithms</li></ul> Required Qualifications<ul><li>BS, MS, or PhD in Robotics, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or related field</li><li>4+ years of applied industry experience programming and designing software in C++, especially in low latency or real-time environments</li><li>Experience in designing, building, and productionizing motion planning algorithms (cost function design, optimization and sampling-based techniques) or state estimation algorithms</li></ul> Desirable Qualifications<ul><li>Expertise with GPU or ML toolkits such as CUDA, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and/or TensorRT</li><li>Experience delivering solutions in robotics applications to production.</li></ul><br>The base salary range for this position is $126,000 - $181,500 per year. Aurora\'s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate\'s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
