<p>Lucid Motors is seeking a Summer 2025 Intern, Material Flow Engineer in Casa Grande, AZ. If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.<br><br>We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our Material Flow Engineering Team and perform analysis and definition of the ideal material flow for manufacturing production lines including sequencing process to reduce wastes and unnecessary activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of process flow and industrial engineering times calculations for Logistics & Supply chain and be able to work independently and collaboratively to ensure our systems are functioning efficiently.<br><br>Role/Responsibilities:<br>• Design and maintain material flow processes and storage systems to establish efficient material delivery to the factory and sub-assembly lines for electric vehicle automotive components.<br>• Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Packaging, Logistics Operations, EH&S during launch to develop Material Flow processes and systems.<br>• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects.<br>• Document the system integration process, including detailed steps and procedures<br>• Assist senior engineers in analyzing test results and identifying areas for improvement<br>• Assist with troubleshooting system issues and identifying solutions<br>• Communicate regularly with senior engineers and other team members to provide progress updates and receive feedback<br>• Participate in team meetings and contribute to team projects as needed<br>• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing and integration activities<br><br>Preferred Qualifications:<br>• Field(s) of study: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field<br>• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree program at an accredited university.<br>• Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)<br>• Industrial engineering, experience developing time study Knowledge of automotive industry.<br>• Proficiency with Autodesk, AutoCAD Plant layout, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access), Smartsheets.<br>• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills<br>• Excellent written and verbal communication skills<br>• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment<br><br>Program Information:<br>• Timing: May- August, or June-September pending class schedules.<br>• Duration of Internship: Our internship program is 12 weeks; the end date is flexible based on individual needs.<br>• Work Location & Environment: This position will be in Casa Grande, AZ, and is fully in-person. You must be prepared to start onsite for your first day of employment. The working environment will be a mix of lab & office work.<br>• Compensation: Student compensation is based on location and current degree level, non-negotiable ranging from $26 to $38.<br>• Relocation: May be provided on a case to case basis.<br>• Housing/Transportation: You must provide your own living arrangements and transportation in the local area.<br>• Background Check: All offers of employment are contingent on clearing a background check.<br>• Drug Screening: All offers of employment are contingent on passing a drug screen.<br>• Medical benefits: Dental, vision, and medical on day 1 for all interns working full-time.<br>• Visa Sponsorship: Lucid may but is not obligated to sponsor foreign national employees requiring company sponsorship for U.S employment authorization.<br><br>Compensation Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.<br><br>Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
