This role is based in Manhattan Beach, CA or San Francisco, CA Hybrid Schedule General Role Overview Fisker Inc is looking for an experienced ML Engineer to join their data and analytics team. The individual will be responsible for delivering optimized Machine Learning model development and related product implementation supporting different lines of business. Duties And Responsibilities The candidate will expand the foundation of the ML architecture in big data environment with distributed computational architecture in the line of the following responsibilities.   Work with leaders, Data engineers, and data scientists to understand data needs. Deploy well-trained ML algorithms onto the vehicle and cloud with excellent compromise between latency and accuracy. Research and develop target agnostic ways for ML model compression and deployment, model testing and verification on the edge device. Collaborate with ML Ops, system/software engineers, test engineers, and data scientists to commercialize the ideas with excellent user experience. Passionately motivated to take ideas from development validation to a verified product   Minimum Qualifications   BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with solid foundation on mathematics. 3-4+ years of experience in C/C++ and Python Good understanding of Linux systems Some experience with modern embedded systems (e.g. Raspberry Pi) Security awareness and network protocols   Knowledges, Skills, Abilities, Competencies   3+ years of Python development experience. 3+ years of SQL experience. 3+ years of experience in deep learning in one of the following: object detection, segmentation, tracking, pose estimation, face recognition, action recognition. 3+ years of experience in hardware acceleration of computer vision, image processing or video Knowledge and experience in automotive software and protocols Experience working with cloud or on-prem Big Data/MPP analytics platforms (i.e. Clickhouse, Spark, Netezza, Teradata, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Data Warehouse, or similar). Solid understanding of machine learning, deep learning frameworks, neural network architectures, and the principle of neural network engines Hands-on experience in model compression (quantization, pruning, etc.), model deployment on edge devices with GPU/NPU/TPU or other neural network engines At least 2 years of experience in implementing Computer Vision, Image recognition and Deep learning models on Realtime projects.   Expected Salary Range: $75,000- $130,000 per year Additional Compensation Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker’s equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
