Job Summary

The NIGHT SHIFT MANAGER works under the direction of the warehouse manager; responsible for the night shift operations including oversees the pulling and staging of outgoing product; oversees loading of delivery trucks; provides training and direction for teammates; can fill in for all related warehouse positions; misc. duties.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Live and uphold our Mission, Vision, and Values.
  2. Take ownership and have pride in your job.
  3. Ensure the correct tires are loaded on the trucks and in the right way, each and every time.
  4. Supervise, direct, train, and develop teammates.
  5. Train, coach, motivate, appreciate and develop employees/teammates
  6. Track productivity of each teammate and hold them accountable for reaching goals.
  7. Notify/work with the warehouse manager on items that need done or improved.
  8. Responsible for employee recruiting, staffing, scheduling, time cards, evaluations, safety, etc.
  9. Responsible for managing and resolving conflict in the work environment by using the company values as a guide.
  10. Secure building before leaving.
  11. Turn off lights, set alarm, lock doors, etc.
  12. Respond to after hour alarms.
  13. Must be able to perform all employees’ job duties and cross-train employees.
  14. Help out with any other duties needed.
  15. Help out where needed within operations in the event of an absence.
  16. Report any issues or concerns to your supervisor.

  1. Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications.
  2. Must possess a friendly and helpful attitude.
  3. Must possess strong planning and organizational skills.
  4. Must play close attention to details.
  5. Ability to delegate work and train others.
  6. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a continuous basis.

 

Expectations

  1. Assist in the hiring, training and evaluation of employees.
  2. 10 or less mis-ships per month, from the entire shift.
  3. Increase/maximize employee productivity.
  4. Enforce safety rules and company policies and procedures.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
