Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Medical Equipment Processor to join our healthcare support team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and preparing medical instruments and equipment for use in clinical environments. The ideal candidate should be organized, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and standards.

  • Operate sterilization machines and ensure proper functionality and safety checks.

  • Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.

  • Accurately document sterilization cycles and maintain detailed logs for compliance.

  • Follow infection control guidelines and adhere to safety protocols at all times.

  • Assist in inventory management of sterile supplies and equipment.

  • Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Certification in Sterile Processing preferred).

  • Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control standards.

  • Ability to operate sterilization equipment and related tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.

  • Basic computer skills for logging sterilization records.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in sterile processing, medical equipment handling, or related healthcare support role preferred.

  • On-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate.

Working Hours:

  • Part-Time Position – Approximately 20 hours per week.
