The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is a unified Department across the two campuses of Jacobi and North Central Bronx (NCB). Both facilities are members of the largest public health system in the country and serve the diverse community in the surrounding neighborhoods of the Bronx and lower Westchester County. Jacobi and NCB are major clinical affiliates and teaching sites of the <strong>Albert Einstein College of Medicine</strong>and have recently developed a teaching relationship with <strong>City University of New York</strong>. Jacobi is a 457-bed tertiary referral center with a Level III NICU. Dedicated to providing the highest quality health care services to all New Yorkers with compassion, dignity and respect, and regardless of immigration status or ability to pay.<br><br>The faculty represent all specialties within OB/GYN including Maternal Fetal Medicine, Genetics, Gynecologic Oncology, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Urogynecology, and Reproductive Endocrinology. The Department focuses on delivering the highest quality care to our patients. We employ multidisciplinary simulation, huddling, and debriefs to promote teamwork and standardize care to continually improve our processes. We have a relatively young faculty that is eager to develop academically and work collaboratively with nurses, midwives and physician assistants to deliver the highest quality care to our patients in a safety net setting.<br><br>Opportunity Details:<br><ul><li>See patients in the ambulatory setting</li><li>Schedule cases for the OR</li><li>Labor and Delivery coverage</li><li>GYN inpatient services on day and night shifts</li><li>Typical work week is divided into 8 hour shifts for outpatient coverage and GYN surgery and 12 hour shifts for L&D and GYN inpatient coverage</li><li>90% Clinical effort and 10% Admin time for chart review, teaching, education</li><li>One 24 hour weekend call per month</li></ul><br><br><strong>Qualifications</strong><br><br><ul><li>Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology</li></ul><br><br><strong>Wages and Benefits include:</strong><br><br>Annual Base Salary: $284,000* (board eligible); $289,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.<br><br><strong>The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $422,600** (board eligible) and $428,100** (board certified), </strong>which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:<br><ul><li>Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $70,200***.</li><li>Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.</li><li>401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):<ul><li>Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.</li><li>After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings.
