However, due to the nature of the role, the selected candidate must live in the St Petersburg, Clearwater Seven Springs, Ocala general region.</i></p><p></p><p><b>Position Summary</b></p><p></p><p>The Products and Service Manager for Outdoor Lighting plays a key role in driving growth and expanding Duke Energy’s <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">lighting-as-a-service</span> offerings across municipal, commercial, and developer markets. This position focuses on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing long-term customer relationships, and executing strategic sales initiatives that align with Duke Energy’s broader goals for sustainable infrastructure and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will combine strong sales acumen with technical understanding of outdoor lighting systems and an ability to collaborate cross-functionally within a matrixed utility environment.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Business Growth: Develop and execute strategies to expand Duke Energy’s outdoor lighting market share within assigned territories, focusing on both regulated and non-regulated lines of business.</li><li>Customer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with municipalities, developers, architects, and city officials to identify opportunities and tailor solutions to customer needs.</li><li>Opportunity Management: Lead the full sales cycle — from prospecting and proposal development to contract execution — ensuring timely follow-up and professional communication throughout.</li><li>Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, design, construction, and operations teams to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.</li><li>Strategic Planning: Contribute to annual business plans, sales forecasts, and territory performance reviews to support overall growth objectives.</li><li>Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy and continuous improvement efforts.</li><li>Pipeline Development: Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities in CRM, ensuring accuracy and transparency for leadership reporting.</li><li>Brand Representation: Represent Duke Energy Lighting at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings as a trusted energy solutions advisor.</li><li>Identify and implement promotional strategies and expand offers to other jurisdictions as appropriate.</li><li>Capture and ensure timely follow-up on leads generated by campaigns, events, communications, plans and assessments.</li><li>Evaluative key performance indicators that provide opportunities to improve lead generation and close rates by implementing initiatives to improve performance.</li><li>Create mutually beneficial internal relationships by effectively communicating program/market plans and performance results.</li><li>Deliver on expected P&L, financial growth targets, customer satisfaction scores and regulatory objectives for products, programs & services</li><li>Develop, communicate and execute long-term/ annual program plans, market and segment plans to deliver financial results in total and for each jurisdiction </li><li>Represent company as Duke Energy in addressing elevated customer complaint resolution, disputes, and other customer requests.</li><li>Review work processes within <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">assigned programs</span> and implement as required.</li><li>Develop/maintain a productive business relationship with the external program support vendors.</li><li>Develop, communicate, execute and adjust market plans to achieve at least top quartile satisfaction targets</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Basic/Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Marketing or other related degree</li><li>In addition to required degree, minimum two (2) years relevant work experience</li><li>In lieu of bachelor's degree, High School/GED and minimum nine (9) years work experience.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Desired Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Prior experience in business development or large account management</li><li>Prior sales experience</li><li>Comfortable interacting with elected government officials</li><li>Experience working in or with the construction industry </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office software tools. </li><li>Proven project management skills.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to learn new systems.</li><li>Experience successfully working in a team environment to achieve shared goals.</li><li>Experience working in utility regulatory environment</li><li>Comprehensive financial and business acumen</li><li>Analytics capability/ proven ability to analyze market and financial data and research to develop successful customer and product strategies and plans, e.g., market research, market strategy, competitive intelligence, product management, Project development</li><li>Facility management, product management, program management, energy management, project management or process management experience. </li><li>Demonstrated experience in change management, process integration and implementation and supervisory or management experience</li><li>Business operation <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; all positions are on call 24/7 during storm</li><li>Virtual - Work will be performed from a remote location after the onboarding period.
