Our team delivers large-scale, data-driven Finance Transformation initiatives that enable financial insight, operational efficiency, and enterprise-wide value across Disney Experiences. The Finance Transformation Delivery Management Organization (DMO) partners closely with Finance, Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Technology leaders to execute complex, highly visible initiatives with rigor, transparency, and predictability.

The Lead Technical Project Manager – Finance Transformation is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional initiatives across the Finance Transformation portfolio. This role drives execution across multiple integrated workstreams including data acceleration, EPM enablement, AI-driven analytics, and platform modernization, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, enterprise-scale Finance Transformation initiatives, from planning through execution and close-out.

  • Develop and manage integrated project plans across multiple workstreams, owning scope, schedule, dependencies, risks, and milestones.

  • Drive execution across cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Architecture, Data, Finance, Operations, and external partners.

  • Proactively identify delivery risks and issues, define mitigation strategies, and escalate appropriately to protect commitments and outcomes.

  • Partner closely with Product Managers and Solution Architects to translate strategy, requirements, and value objectives into executable delivery plans.

  • Establish delivery governance, project management processes, and Agile ceremonies that improve execution efficiency and predictability.

  • Manage project financials end-to-end, including estimates, forecasts, variance analysis, capital/expense tracking, and alignment to approved funding.

  • Coordinate delivery across matrixed teams and vendors, ensuring clear roles, accountability, and decision-making.

  • Provide clear, concise, and consistent executive-level status reporting on progress, risks, milestones, and financials.

  • Ensure disciplined project closure, including delivery validation, documentation, lessons learned, and transition to operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 7+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional technical or transformation projects in a large, matrixed enterprise environment.

  • Proven ability to independently lead initiatives with moderate to high complexity, risk, and visibility.

  • Strong experience managing integrated project plans spanning multiple teams, vendors, and delivery models.

  • Demonstrated success delivering technology, data, and/or finance transformation initiatives end-to-end.

  • Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Technology leaders.

  • Strong risk management, analytical, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations and stakeholder updates.

Delivery & Tooling Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Agile, hybrid, and Waterfall delivery models, including pragmatic blending of methodologies.

  • Proficiency with delivery and reporting tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.

  • Proficiency with using AI to drive productivity.

  • Strong understanding of DevOps delivery environments, CI/CD concepts, and cross-team dependency management.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, engineering, finance, or a related discipline plus relevant experience, or related work experience

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $148,300 to $198,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
