Job Summary:

The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components according to specifications. The successful candidate will be able to read and interpret blueprints, use hand and power tools, and operate welding equipment to join metal parts. The Welder/Fabricator will also be responsible for visually inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards before having welds inspected by the quality department.

Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Use hand and power tools to fabricate metal components
  • Operate welding equipment to join metal parts
  • Knowledge and experience in the welding process/procedure to weld the following:
    • Carbon
    • MIG
    • SMAW
    • TIG
    • Aluminum and Stainless Steel (Will train if necessary)
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge with a welding assessment performed at interview
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications along with welding symbols
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Experience operating welding equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and high work ethic required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent - Trade school or additional training from a certified course maybe required
  • Responsible for sweeping and cleaning in your work area to ensure it remains neat, clean and organized
