Role Highlights

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk plays a key role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods within the company by managing both the receipt of customer-supplied items and the timely shipment of completed orders. This position is responsible for verifying that all incoming shipments match the packing slip, ensuring the accuracy of quantities and product specifications. In addition, the Shipping/Receiving Clerk oversees the prompt and accurate shipment of finished embroidered products to customers, maintaining high standards of quality control and strict adherence to delivery schedules. The employee assigned to this role will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and maximize customer satisfaction

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Match received goods to the packing slip to ensure accuracy of quantities and product specifications.
  • Complete the receiving log in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure timely shipment of finished embroidered goods in accordance with customer requests and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare shipments by organizing physical goods and ensuring all necessary shipping documentation is completed.
  • Stage pallets, wrap or box products (as appropriate), and label finished goods for shipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department needs
Requirements:

  • Proficient in basic math and able to accurately interpret labels and numerical data.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple activities efficiently and simultaneously.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Education and/or Experience Computer Skills

High School diploma or a minimum of 1-2 years of equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

Demonstrated high proficiency with words, Excel, Outlook.
