You will receive practical experience and opportunities to develop your specialist and personal skills to ensure a long and successful career here.<br>Purpose of the Post<br>Receive workplace experiences and support to complete a higher qualification and develop into a leader and expert in the field.<br>To support the Department in communicating, marketing and creating effective digital content that promotes its services, projects and key locations across Gwynedd.<br>Main Duties<br>The Gwynedd Economy Department works to strengthen the county's economy by supporting businesses, developing communities, promoting sustainable tourism and creating quality employment opportunities for residents.<br>The role focuses on the creation and delivery of digital content and communication campaigns to promote the diverse work of the Department for Economy, including the production of videos, articles and material for the Council's social media and websites.<br>The main duties of the role will be to:<br>Supporting the Department's various services including Economic Development, Business Support, Community Regeneration, Tourism and Marketing, Maritime, Country Parks, Museums, Arts, Archives and Libraries.<br>Work across many key locations and assets such as Parc Padarn, Parc Glynllifon, Gwynedd Libraries, STORIEL, Lloyd George Museum, Pwllheli harbour and the county's beaches.<br>To support the communication, engagement and marketing requirements of the services in a diverse and dynamic work environment.<br>Develop project management skills, prioritise workloads and lead others to achieve objectives.<br>Create and deliver strategic communications, marketing and plans for developments and projects.<br>Develop and use up-to-date digital marketing techniques in response to new trends and technologies.<br>Manage and use creative resources including digital content production tools such as photos and videos.<br>Follow the Council's policies on health and safety, equality, data protection and carbon reduction.<br>Closing Date: 12:00pm, Friday 29th May 2026<br>Requirements<br>Personal Features<br>Delivering the highest quality work<br>Demonstrate a high level of self awareness<br>Demonstrate the potential to be an expert and a leader<br>Ready to challenge<br>Working with people effectively<br>Prioritising well-being.<br>Relevant Qualifications and Training<br>Possess or are likely to earn a class grade of 2:2 or higher.<br>Specialist Skills and Knowledge<br>A valid current driving licence<br>Language Needs<br>Listening and Speaking – Higher Level Be able to follow a conversation or discussion through the medium of Welsh and English at a professional level and discuss general topics on a daily basis in the field in order to present information and express opinions. Be able to provide a pre-prepared presentation and respond to any comments and questions on it through the medium of Welsh and English.<br>Reading and Understanding – Higher Level Be able to understand standard, formal and informal Welsh and written English. Be able to gather information from various sources such as letters, reports, articles, through the medium of Welsh and English in order to carry out the job.<br>Writing – Higher Level To present written information with confidence in the form of a letter, a more detailed and technical report and to respond to written requests conveying information, ideas and views through the medium of Welsh and English.
