Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESThe duties and responsibilities described herein are not a comprehensive list, and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time, as necessitated by business demands.School CultureEmbraces and advances the mission and vision of Brookside Charter School to maximize students' opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.Embodies and demonstrates maturity, integrity, professionalism, self-improvement, motivation, and excellence.Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to provide a safe environment for students.Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct fairly and justly.Builds and maintains relationships with teachers, administrators, and students' families with an eye toward working cooperatively to help students meet academic and other goals.Duties and Responsibilities Greets and welcomes visitors Answers and directs phone calls.Collects fees and payments providing receipts and other records for monetary transactions.Helps resolve complaints or answer inquiries.Collaborates with other departments to complete some office functions.PaymentsAccepts payments for extended care, staff/parent lunches, technology fees, library fees, sports fees, and late feesProcesses incoming funds properly, including names, amount, type, employee signature, security, documentation, labeling of envelopes, and proper transfer to Business Director or Administrative AssistantRecords all cash payments in a timely mannerRecords all transactions in Brookside Charter School's student information systemMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*All requirements listed below are required unless otherwise designated as preferred.Education and CertificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentAssociates degree preferredExperienceExperience in similar or equivalent role preferredSkills and TraitsProficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office or equivalent software.Candidate will be a passionate advocate for Brookside Charter's mission and students.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.Understanding of office methods, procedures, and equipment.Ability to learn, interpret, and apply policies and procedures.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position may require remaining stationary and/or moving for intermittent periods, as well as moderate dexterity in operating standard office equipment (e.g., computer, printer, copier).This position requires individuals with a range of visual acuity as well as the ability to communicate with others.
