Job Title: Fixed Income Business Analyst

Hybrid in Newark, NJ - 2 days a week onsite

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with a strong background in Fixed Income Asset Management to join our growing team. This individual will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders (portfolio managers, analysts, quants) and the technology team , ensuring that requirements are understood and met to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the development team.
  • Support the implementation of fixed income front office systems and tools, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business expectations.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including functional specifications, use cases, and process flows .
  • Work with the project manager and cross-functional teams to manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that project objectives are met on time and within scope .

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 3-10 years of experience in a Business Analyst role within the financial services industry , with a focus on fixed income asset management .

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of fixed income products , including bonds, derivatives, and other related instruments .
  • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications .
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills .
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders .
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools .

Education:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Math, Finance, Economics, or a related field .
  • CFA, FRM, or related certifications are a plus.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with portfolio management systems (e.g., Aladdin or similar platforms ).
  • Familiarity with data management tools and reporting systems in an asset management context.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting fixed income asset management .
