About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our security design team, focusing on Application Security and building tools to identify and prevent vulnerabilities in Hotstar code. As a leader in this field, you will be responsible for defining the "client experience" of safety for engineers at Hotstar, working with cross-functional teams, and driving a culture of security across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management: Lead a team of safety engineers, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure their growth and success.
  • Security Design: Collaborate with engineers to design and implement secure systems and APIs, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and preventing vulnerabilities.
  • Vulnerability Management: Identify and understand vulnerabilities in Hotstar's current environment, making informed security risk decisions, and proactively limiting the attack surface.
  • Security Goals and Objectives: Establish security goals across different departments, ensuring alignment and consistency.
  • Penetration Testing: Conduct internal and external penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
  • Security Awareness and Training: Provide security training and promote a culture of security across the engineering and product teams.
  • Risk Management: Develop strategies to unify risk across all vulnerabilities, ensuring consistency in reporting and tracking.

Essential Qualifications

  • Product Security: Experience setting up product security frameworks and leading self-supporting teams.

Preferred Qualifications
