Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will apply advanced analytical techniques to drive business decisions, explore customer behavior, anticipate content engagement, and optimize our content launch and episode release strategy. Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Data Analysis: Apply advanced analytical techniques (data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, machine learning) on large-scale, high-dimensional data to drive business decisions.
  • Customer Behavior Analysis: Investigate customer behavior (e.g., type preferences, viewing patterns) to identify unmet customer needs and untapped content opportunities.
  • Content Engagement Prediction: Anticipate content engagement to inform acquisition decisions.
  • Content Launch and Release Strategy: Optimize our content launch and episode release strategy.
  • Marketing Strategy Testing: Test marketing strategies to improve engagement and retention.
  • New Metrics and KPIs Development: Ideate and develop new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance for both tactical and strategic direction.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis Support: Provide ad-hoc analysis support to stakeholders to help drive the business forward.
  • Data Storytelling: Effectively communicate insightful results through compelling data storytelling across the organization.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Four-year college degree in Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Data Analysis Experience: At least 3 years of experience in data analysis.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and experience in R or Python.
  • Analytical Skills: Experience in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques: decision trees, regression, clustering, etc.
  • Independent Work: Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply creativity in solving complex problems.
  • Data Storytelling: Excellent data storytelling skills through verbal, written, and visual communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree: Graduate degree in Information Science, Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field.
