We’re looking for a strategic, audience-obsessed storyteller to shape and scale Zoom’s content for small businesses and solopreneurs. This role will bring Zoom’s narratives to life through tailored storytelling, campaigns, and content experiences that drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth.

As the Content Strategist for SMB / Solopreneur audiences, you’ll translate Zoom’s vision into content that meets business owners where they are by helping them start, grow, and scale with an AI-first platform that makes work and life simpler. You’ll lead audience-specific content planning and develop hero and derivative assets.

The ideal candidate brings creativity, curiosity, and a passion for exploring new content formats.

About the Team

We are a high-impact, cross-functional team focused on building programs that connect brand engagement to business growth. We unify partnerships, Tier 1 events, social media, and advertising into one cohesive strategy designed to drive awareness, adoption, and pipeline across the Zoom portfolio. Our work spans the full funnel, and we stay relentlessly focused on outcomes and business impact.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Narrative Development

  • Building and owning a comprehensive content strategy that positions Zoom as the trusted growth partner for small businesses and solopreneurs — translating brand narratives into storytelling that drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline.

  • Defining the content journey across the funnel – from thought leadership and hero assets to product adoption and retention.

Content Creation & Editorial Excellence

  • Leading development of hero and derivative assets, including research reports, guides, blogs, videos, and more — ensuring each ladders up to audience, campaign, and product priorities.

  • Managing editorial workflows and creative partners briefing internal teams and agencies to deliver best-in-class storytelling that’s on-brand and audience-resonant.

  • Planning and managing content within the CMP, ensuring accurate tagging, metadata, and version control.

  • Driving discoverability by applying SEO and AEO best practices across all owned surfaces, ensuring every piece of content reaches the right audience at the right moment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Activation

  • Serving as a core member of the SMB Marketing Pod, collaborating closely with Integrated Marketing Managers, Product Marketing, Comms, Social, and Online teams to align messaging, activation, and measurement.

  • Partnering with the Customer Advocacy team to integrate customer proof points, reviews, and stories into content plans.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Defining success metrics for content and use data to optimize performance.

  • Partnering with Marketing Operations to track performance across channels, surface insights, and inform future content strategy.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve message resonance, format effectiveness, and audience impact over time.

What we're looking for

  • 6–8 years of experience in content marketing.

  • Possess extensive understanding of the SMB and solopreneur mindset.

  • Have the demonstrated ability to craft integrated content plans that span research, thought leadership, and product storytelling.

  • Be a cross-functional collaborator comfortable working with Product Marketing, Customer Advocacy, Brand, and Campaign teams.

  • A great communicator and editor, with excellent attention to detail.

  • Analytical and curious, driven to connect creative ideas to measurable business impact.

  • Have experience with Content Management Platforms, specifically Optimizely, a plus.
