Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior System Administrator, you will assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, and network device.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of system and operating systems (Windows, Linux and Mac).
  • Support end-users by troubleshooting hardware, software issues
  • Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with company policies.
  • Install, configure, and maintain networked and biometric system, standalone printers, copiers, and multifunction devices.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues related to printers.
  • Replace consumables such as toner, ink cartridges, and paper
  • Manage and support networked printers and print servers, including driver installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Analyze, implement the business and technical requirements to design scalable and secure systems and maintain, upgrade the existing systems, including software and hardware components.
  • Monitor system performance, security, and capacity to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot and apply updates and patches to keep systems secure and current.
  • Ensure IT security policies and respond to security incidents to manage antivirus, firewall, and other security systems through regular updates and adherence to security best practices.
Desired Candidate Profile:
  • Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with network printers, print servers, and printer drivers.
  • Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and support school staff with technical requirements.
  • Experience in educational institutions will be an added advantage.
