Our client, a forward-thinking organization committed to maintaining pristine and safe environments, is seeking a Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join their dynamic, fully remote team. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in EHS best practices and compliance to support diverse operational sites and remote teams. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing EHS programs, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across the organization. The role involves conducting risk assessments, developing training materials, investigating incidents, and providing guidance on EHS matters. Key responsibilities include Developing and implementing comprehensive EHS policies and procedures. Conducting site-specific risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA). Developing and delivering engaging EHS training programs for employees at all levels. Investigating EHS incidents, near misses, and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions. Managing EHS documentation, record-keeping, and reporting requirements. Providing expert guidance and support on EHS-related issues to operational teams. Conducting internal audits to assess EHS program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Staying current with EHS best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes. Promoting a strong safety culture through communication, engagement, and proactive initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in EHS management is required, with a strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in industrial or service environments. Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) are highly preferred.
