About the position

Geotab is seeking a tech-savvy and curious student to join their Marketing team as an Intern. This role will support content creation, review, and broader digital marketing activities, including events and public relations. The intern will help ensure Geotab’s content performs across both traditional search (Google) and emerging AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Gemini. This is an opportunity for someone passionate about AI, data analytics, and digital writing to build a cutting-edge skill set in a fast-evolving space within a dynamic tech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of marketing strategies.
  • Create and review engaging content.
  • Assist with digital marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate events.
  • Contribute to public relations efforts.
  • Work closely with the Geotab Brazil Marketing Team, marketing agencies, and external vendors.
  • Design and edit high-impact social media assets, including short-form videos (Reels/LinkedIn) and static posts.
  • Support the production of polished editorial materials like brochures, infographics, and PDF guides.
  • Localize global marketing assets from English to Portuguese, ensuring design and messaging resonate with the Brazilian audience.
  • Utilize AI tools (Midjourney, Firefly, Gemini) to accelerate image generation, content brainstorming, and creative workflows.
  • Build high-quality presentation decks and localized sales tools to support the Sales team.
  • Support the review and proofreading of PR materials (articles, press releases, pitches) for technical accuracy and tone.
  • Facilitate the information flow between Geotab and local PR agencies, tracking daily demands and deliverables.
  • Assist in the logistics of scheduling and preparing interviews between Brazilian journalists and Geotab spokespeople.
  • Monitor local media coverage and assist in creating impact reports to measure PR effectiveness in Brazil.
  • Localize global PR assets to ensure they feel natural and culturally relevant to the local market.
  • Assist in the end-to-end planning and logistics for trade shows and corporate gatherings in Brazil.
  • Coordinate the inventory and delivery of promotional materials and gifts with storage providers and couriers.
  • Support the administrative flow of sponsorships, including contract management and internal approvals.
  • Help consolidate post-event lead data to generate ROI presentations and result reports for leadership.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to polish digital materials and presentation slides for events.
  • Optimize digital content for AI engines (LLMs) and search engines using AEO best practices.
  • Perform regular audits of existing local content to ensure accuracy, sentiment, and visibility.
  • Track how Geotab is cited across AI platforms in Brazil and manage performance dashboards.
  • Conduct competitive analysis on competitor content and AI search performance to identify strategic gaps.
  • Review and localize global digital assets, ensuring the technical message translates into a natural Brazilian voice.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese and English is mandatory.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Design, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or Business.
  • Proficiency in relevant tools (Canva/Adobe Creative Cloud for Design; PowerPoint/Excel for Events; SEO/AI tools for AEO).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive \"willingness to learn\" attitude.
  • A passion for storytelling and a strong interest in the Brazilian media and digital landscape.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States (verified through E-Verify).
