We’re currently looking for an outgoing, dependable, and service-focused Teller to join our Old Hickory, TN branch. In this full-time role, you’ll be the friendly, smiling face that greets members, assists with transactions, and helps make their day a little brighter, all while being part of our mission: “Making a Positive Difference in our Neighbors’ Lives”. Typical working hours: 7:50 AM - 4:00* PM Monday-Thursday, 7:50 AM - 5:00* PM Fridays

*plus time to wrap up and close, which varies by day


Duties/Expectations:

Training is provided to all new hires at our headquarters in Donelson.

  • Provide exceptional service to all OHCU members
  • Process accurate financial transactions involving cash and checks with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Balance a teller drawer daily
  • Assist members with inquiries and problem resolution in a timely manner
  • Perform basic account maintenance on member accounts
  • Scan work and documents along with other daily responsibilities
  • Offer/suggest products and/or services to members
  • Must be outgoing and able to have discussions with our members regarding their needs
  • Team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment (especially during peak times)
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to interact with members and colleagues in a professional manner
  • Experience in use of PCs (Windows computers), calculators, and other office equipment
  • Prior experience in a customer service role is preferred
  • Prior experience in a cash handling role is preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Able to pass a background check and a drug screen
  • Candidate must successfully pass an employment credit check. Any current delinquencies or bankruptcies still showing on the credit report may result in failure of the check. The review may include, but is not limited to, past due items, late payments, unpaid charge-offs, collections (non-medical), judgments, bankruptcies, repossessions, and foreclosures.
