Please speak with your recruiter to learn more about where Vida is registered.</b><br><br>The Prescribing Physician Assistant plays a key role in providing accessible and convenient care for our members. The Physician Assistant works in partnership with physicians to diagnose, manage and provide medication management and outpatient treatment via Telehealth in the areas of obesity, HTN/HLD, CHF/COPD and diabetes. <br><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul><ul><li>Provide direct patient care and support by prescribing, creating, monitoring and supporting treatment plans in accordance with statutes, regulations and protocols.</li><li>Issue medication prescriptions in accordance with treatment guidelines.</li><li>Order laboratory tests, interpret and explain the test results to patients.</li><li>Provide patient education regarding medications, risks, benefits and reasonable outcome expectations.</li><li>Communicate with patients and engage in follow-up as necessary.</li><li>Refer higher acuity patients to specialized care based off of a stringent screening guideline to ensure quality of care and the best outcome for patients.</li><li>Maintain medical records and high quality of clinical documentation.</li><li>Provide medical care, patient education and medication prescribing and management in an empathetic and judgment-free manner.</li><li>Reach out to members identified by remote monitoring protocols and, if needed, prescribe rescue medications or direct to community medicine/emergency services.</li></ul></ul><br><br><strong>Requirements:</strong><br><ul><ul><li>PA with active, unrestricted license in 10+ states (If you do not meet this requirement, but are close, please apply).</li><li>Board Certified.</li><li>Experience treating CHF, COPD, Diabetes and Obesity preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated experience working with patients, clients, and other clinical providers in an integrated setting.</li><li>Meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Previous experience with quality assurance and improvement practices preferred.</li><li>Experience with digital technology and general computer skills.</li><li>Ability to perform independently, under minimal supervision with accountability for specific goals/objectives.</li><li>Demonstrates problem solving, leadership, conflict management and team building skills in order to ensure a productive work environment and achievement of goals.</li><li>Demonstrates strong aptitude to work in a rapidly changing, start-up environment.</li><li>Proficiency with EMR (electronic medical record) systems.</li></ul></ul><br><br>$70 - $75 an hour<br><br>Vida is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.<br><br>Diversity is more than a commitment at Vida-it is the foundation of what we do.
