Job Description The Data Analytics Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The team is seeking a highly skilled Technical Data Analyst with a strong background in Data warehousing development, Oracle databases and data analytics development to join our books & records technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data warehousing, business intelligence and data analytics development, combined with a deep understanding of financial data and complex data scenarios. This role requires a combination of technical, functional, analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver high quality insights and support business decisions. Candidate will also be responsible for researching and evaluating emerging AI tools and techniques for potential application in data analysis projects. Key Responsibilities: • Data analysis & Reporting: o Analyze complex financial data, identify trends, patterns, anomalies to provide actionable insights to business units such as finance, risk and operations. o Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, analysis. o Develop stored procedure, triggers and functions in Oracle to automate data-related processes. o Design and implement reporting solutions, utilizing SQL, scripting language and other data analytical tools to deliver meaningful and accurate data visualizations. • Development & Automation: o Leveraging programming languages(Python etc) to automate manual tasks, develop data reconciliation and data quality checks. o Develop data analytical reports/dashboards based on business requirement. Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: o Address and resolve complex data-related issues, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. o Hunt for the right solutions - collaborate with team members, technology partners, and business partners to identify efficient and strategic solutions. o Communicate technical solutions and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of application functions and financial data. Provide inputs during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects • Own the resolution of issues - manage multiple program sub-streams and aid in developing technology solutions based off analysis, • Be organized and timely - have a strong appreciation for regulatory deadlines and be organized enough to manage multiple responsibilities at once, • Be a change agent - review existing processes critically to identify inefficiencies and automation solutions, • Communicate effectively - author artifacts such as architectural proposals and technical solutions, guide to navigate thru complex data issue, and communication materials for senior management and key business partners. • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. Qualifications: • 8-10 years of relevant hands-on work experience as Data Analytics Lead. • Advanced expertise in Business intelligence, data analytical and reporting tools (SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI etc). • Strong understanding of relational databases. • Proficiency in Python scripting for data analysis and automation. Experience performing in-depth data analysis and data profiling activities • Experience mentoring/leading other data analysts • Strong interpersonal skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems; excellent teamwork skills • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong consulting skills • Experience identifying and implementing process improvement • Solid skills effectively managing multiple small to large projects simultaneously in a cross-functional environment • Awareness and understanding of AI/ML tools and techniques in data analytics (e.g., machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, predictive modeling). • Practical experience applying AI/ML techniques in data analysis projects is a plus. Education: • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Data Science or Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or other similar degrees.
