OnTrac is hiring a Certified CDL Hostler / Yard Driver !

OnTrac Hostlers are responsible for safely positioning and maneuvering trailers to and from the dock. This position works closely with the yard team and Operations Management.

Location Details: 2559 Consulate Dr. Orlando, FL 32819 

Pay: $23.51 per hour

Shift: Sunday - Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the business.

The Must-Haves: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both 

  • Minimum 1-year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery  

  • Class A CDL

  • Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and background checks 

  • Must be at least 18 years old, possess a clean driving record, valid identification and be able to pass a TSA screening

  • Must be able to provide a 5-year to 10-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) 

  • Basic English language proficiency (spoken and written) required for understanding safety and operational instructions in a fast-paced warehouse environment 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment as outlined in the Company Safety Program 

  • Properly pre-trip and inspect each trailer to meet DOT compliance standards 

  • Correctly position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor 

  • Switching trailers as needed during the daily sort; hook up sets of trailers for line hauls leaving the facility  

  • Clearly communicate trailer moves and numbers with operations management
