TITLE: Assistant Manager, Product Development REPORTS TO: Director of Product Development LOCATION: Farmacy HQ in Mahwah, NJ (1300 MacArthur Blvd; ~45mins outside of NYC). Hybrid, in-person 2 days per week on a set schedule (currently Wednesday and Thursday) and ad hoc as needed. WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, exempt. You’ll manage day-to-day project tracking + close collaboration with R&D, Marketing, Creative, and Regulatory teams to move projects forward. This opportunity is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented product developer with strong communication skills who has a clear understanding of development milestones, formula evaluation experience, and well versed in beauty/skincare competitive landscape. You will report to the Director of Product Development. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Drive creation of skincare products throughout all PD lifecycle (formula development, safety + claims validation, creative concept, creative design brief, and market analysis). • Assist in research and execution of product innovation that aligns to customers’ DNA and delivers against market needs. • Partner with R&D and cross-functional teams to define and write new product concepts, research and select both active and story ingredients, and coordinate regulatory and testing needs within the overall product timeline. • Prepare R&D briefs to communicate all development needs including product texture, fragrance benchmark, usage, product ingredients/technologies, positioning, and claims. • Evaluate formula submissions and provide feedback to R&D. • Track and communicate all product and packaging submission and approvals. • Coordinate, track and analyze all testing (safety, clinical, consumer panel, other) including test design and desired claims output. • Collaborate with Regulatory to ensure compliance of product formulae and claims. • Maintain and communicate weekly project status report. • 3+ years of professional Product Development/ relevant experience • Experience in Beauty industry (skincare) is a must • Thrive in a start-up environment with an all-hands-on-deck positive attitude • Able to reliably commute to the Mahwah, NJ office minimum 2 days per week + ad hoc as needed. • Estimated Salary Range: $71,000 - 89,000 per year (pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience). • 15 days PTO + 5 sick/personal days per year • 16 annual Company holidays • Health insurance • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Life insurance ($25,000 policy, free to employees) • Commuter benefits (Transit + Parking FSA) • Health care FSA • Dependent care FSA • 401(k) retirement savings plan, with up to 4.0% company match with no vesting period (after 6 month eligibility waiting period) • 16-weeks 100% paid parental leave for birth mothers and adoptive parents, 8-weeks 100% paid parental leave for all other parents • $40/month phone stipend • Adoption & Surrogacy Support, $10,000/event reimbursement with $40,000 lifetime cap • Quarterly Gratis Product Stipend • Monthly Exercise/Gym Reimbursement
