Overview

This position combines warehouse responsibilities with professional driving duties.

You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving freight within the warehouse, as well as safely operating various commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently and reliably.

You will also be expected, over time, to become familiar with plumbing materials and understand their applications and functions.

Previous plumbing experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining an organized warehouse and ensuring reliable deliveries are equally critical responsibilities.
  • Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles and forklifts.
  • Demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for learning about plumbing supplies and expanding product knowledge.
  • Load and unload freight using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and manual tools, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Deliver products to clients or distribution centers promptly while maintaining excellent communication with dispatch teams.
  • Assist with warehouse organization by moving and organizing inventory
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and shipment documentation.
  • Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols during route driving or yard operations to ensure personal safety and that of others.

Experience

  • Safe driving habits and clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with operating various types of commercial vehicles such as box trucks and forklifts.
  • Hands-on warehouse experience involving load & unload tasks using forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating deliveries and reporting issues effectively.
  • Prior experience with freight handling or logistics in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated; CDL license is not mandatory for this role. Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
