Milo's Catering is hiring individuals that are proficient in event execution, leadership, prep and can assist Executive Chef with ordering. Our company is a high volume operation and looking for individuals with relevant experience. You will be working side by side with our executive chef and have an opportunity to grow your management and culinary skills.

Open availability is important as the schedule is a mix of weekday and weekend shifts. If you are looking for part time work, that can be an option as well.

Qualifications: Sous/Catering Chef

  • Must be a great teammate and leader that others will follow
  • Self-starter that wants to grow professionally and help inspire their team
  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • BS degree in culinary science or related certificate would be a plus

Responsibilities

  • Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus
  • Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise
  • Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
  • Planning and directing food preparation for daily catering as well as special events
  • Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance
  • Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
