Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Solar Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will help accelerate the transition to renewable energy by ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality installations. Responsibilities

  • Safely install solar panels, inverters, mounting systems, and related electrical components on rooftops and ground-mounted sites.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise system layout and installation.
  • Connect electrical wiring, including high voltage and low voltage systems, in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and construction site machinery such as forklifts to complete installations efficiently.
  • Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal performance of solar energy systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to adhere to safety protocols, including roofing safety practices and electrical safety standards.
  • Assist with fixture installation and plumbing connections as needed during system setup.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in electrical work involving high voltage and low voltage systems.
  • Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams for solar projects.
  • Knowledge of NEC regulations related to solar power installations and electrical safety standards.
  • Hands-on experience with construction sites, roofing work, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions.
  • Experience with plumbing or fixture installation is a plus but not required.
  • Construction or roofing background is highly desirable for working safely at heights.
