In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for our patients by coordinating their access to our rehabilitation services. As a senior member of our team, you will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to help us continue to deliver high-quality care. Coordinate patient access to rehabilitation services by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations and referrals. Serve as a point of contact for patients and their families, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any questions or concerns. Utilize electronic medical records and other systems to accurately document patient information and maintain confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and appropriate scheduling of appointments and treatments. Utilize knowledge of insurance plans and coverage to assist patients in understanding their benefits and potential financial responsibility. Assist in training and mentoring new team members on patient access processes and procedures. Continuously monitor and improve processes to enhance the patient experience and increase efficiency. Maintain a thorough understanding of UC Health's rehabilitation services and stay updated on any changes or updates. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions to improve patient access processes and overall patient care. Adhere to all HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
