About the role:
CHANEL is looking for a creative, Adult Learning Instructional Designer to join our Fashion Expertise team. You will play a leading role in impacting how our Fashion Retail population receives and retains information relevant to Product, Service and Style in a Boutique environment. This role interfaces with subject matter experts throughout the Fashion Division and is a key partner for our Corporate and Retail Fashion Expertise and Digital Learning teams. They will be critical to the design, implementation strategy and impact assessment of wide-scale learning programs alongside the Group Director of Fashion Engagement & Curriculum. Our ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience and a passion for building Fashion-centric classroom-style learning modules.

  • Conduct ongoing needs assessments in partnership with the Group Director, Fashion Engagement & Curriculum to ensure learning solutions are relevant to evolving business needs.
  • Adapt Global and design local skill-and-knowledge-based learning solutions that will engage Adult Learners of varied levels of tenure and expertise.
  • Global and local programs consist of seasonal Fashion collection training, Client Experience modules, Product Expertise Seminars and Styling content.
  • Collaborate in developing a Learning Management System to quantify reach of learning programs across learning population of ~1,400 Retail employees.
  • Embrace tech and AI to optimize learning content creation and boost learner retention.

What you will bring to the team:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Adult Education or Human Resources preferred
  • Certificates in Adult Learning or Instructional Design encouraged
  • Experience in learning content design and Instructional Design methodologies
  • Expertise in gathering learner data to measure impact of training team output
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Teams, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Understanding of Luxury Retail environment
Position Logistics:
  • Partially Remote: Role requires a minimum of three days in-person office presence at the designated location/office.
  • 3-4 Years of experience in content design, learning, retail or Fashion
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Adult Education or Human Resources preferred
  • Location: New York City Office
  • Travel requirements: Minimal <10%, ad-hoc

Compensation:
  • The anticipated base salary range for this position is 70,200 through 119,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
