Globe Life is looking for a <strong>Data & AI Engineer III </strong>to join the team!<br><br>This role is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale cloud data engineering solutions, including Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures on AWS. This person will establish scalable, secure data infrastructure and deliver complex data pipelines and integration solutions that support analytics and business intelligence initiatives. Leveraging expertise in AWS services, advanced SQL, Python, Informatica, and Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark, this role also serves as a technical mentor, providing expert guidance on data engineering best practices, SDLC methodologies, CloudFormation deployment, and AWS AI offerings to advance the organization's evolving data and analytics strategy.<br><br><strong> This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX (WFH Monday & Friday, In-Office Tuesday-Thursday). <br><br></strong><strong>What You Will Do<br><br></strong><ul><li>Lead and develop robust data engineering solutions to meet the needs of our organization and business customers.</li><li>Be responsible for establishing appropriate architecture to support current and future business requirements. </li><li>Mentor team members and provide technical guidance on Cloud Data Lake and Data Warehouse design, development, implementation and monitoring.</li><li>Understand, design and implement Data Security around cloud data infrastructures.</li><li>Provide support and guidance to Data Services and other application development teams on various Data Engineering and Analytics products.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What You Can Bring<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience in a technical position.</li><li>10+ years of experience in Information Technology.</li><li>5+ years of hands-on experience in Database Engineering and data engineering solutions, including design and implementation in AWS Redshift, RDS/Aurora, DMS, Glue, and Lambda.</li><li>Proven experience building data pipelines and database applications.</li><li>Strong coding and scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or similar languages, including implementation of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Presto, Hive, and Hue.</li><li>Working knowledge of AWS Data Management and Pipeline tools, including S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM, and SNS.</li><li>Advanced SQL programming and solid understanding of implementing data lake and data warehouse solutions in the cloud.</li><li>Development experience with a major ETL tool, preferably Informatica.</li><li>Experience in creating and deploying CloudFormation Templates (CFTs).</li><li>Experience with database performance testing and capacity planning.</li><li>Working knowledge of SDLC and agile/iterative methodologies.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>AWS or LOMA Certifications, experience in Life Insurance/Annuity/Financial Services, knowledge of AWS AI offerings, and experience with data visualization tools are all a plus.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Applicable To All Employees of Globe Life Family of Companies:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift.</li><li>Ability to work full time and/or part time based on the position specifications.<br><br></li></ul><strong>How Globe Life Will Support You<br><br></strong>Looking to continue your career in an environment that values your contribution and invests in your growth?
