<strong>Job Title: Business Development Manager – Licensing<br><br></strong><strong>Overview<br><br></strong>We are seeking an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven, and commercially focused Business Development Manager to help drive licensing growth across one of our key brands. This individual will focus on identifying, developing, and securing new licensing partnerships across multiple product categories and distribution channels.<br><br>The ideal candidate has experience within brand licensing, consumer products, wholesale apparel, or brand management and understands how to identify strategic category opportunities, negotiate partnerships, and grow royalty-generating businesses.<br><br>This role will work closely with senior leadership, brand management, creative, and legal teams to expand the brand’s global licensing footprint and drive long-term business growth.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>Licensing Business Development<br><br></strong><ul><li>Identify and pursue new licensing opportunities across apparel, accessories, footwear, beauty, home, lifestyle, and additional consumer product categories.</li><li>Develop and maintain relationships with prospective licensees, manufacturers, agents, retailers, and strategic partners.</li><li>Drive outbound business development efforts to expand the brand into new categories and markets.</li><li>Research market trends, whitespace opportunities, and competitive licensing activity.</li><li>Attend trade shows, industry events, retailer meetings, and market appointments to identify new business opportunities.</li><li>Build and present licensing proposals, partnership presentations, and category expansion strategies.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Strategic Partnerships<br><br></strong><ul><li>Evaluate potential licensing partners based on product capabilities, distribution strength, retail relationships, and strategic fit.</li><li>Work closely with leadership teams on deal structuring and partnership strategy.</li><li>Collaborate with Legal and Finance teams throughout contract negotiations and execution.</li><li>Help support long-term growth strategies for the brand portfolio.</li><li>Maintain strong relationships with licensing agencies, retail buyers, and global partners.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Brand & Category Expansion<br><br></strong><ul><li>Identify new product categories and distribution channels to support brand growth.</li><li>Monitor retail trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activity to inform strategic initiatives.</li><li>Partner with Brand Management and Creative teams to ensure alignment between licensing opportunities and overall brand positioning.</li><li>Support international licensing expansion opportunities where applicable.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>4–8+ years of experience within licensing, business development, consumer products, wholesale apparel, or brand management.</li><li>Strong understanding of licensing structures, category expansion, and royalty-driven business models.</li><li>Existing relationships within licensing, wholesale apparel, retail, or consumer products industries strongly preferred.</li><li>Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities independently.</li><li>Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to thrive within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and presentation tools.<br><br></li></ul>Salary $90,000-$120,000<br><br>
