Position Overview Apollo Capital Solutions (“ACS”) anchors the Firm’s capital markets, syndication, and dedicated origination efforts. As one centralized team, ACS partners with each of the Apollo’s investment businesses to provide capital markets expertise, structuring, execution and ultimately drive syndication efforts on investments across the Credit, Hybrid, and Equity spectrum. ACS’s Origination function streamlines deal origination across the firm to make it easier for sponsors, banks, and corporates to better understand the financing solutions Apollo provides. The Role Apollo’s Investment COO team is seeking an Associate to join the team in a high-exposure role responsible for the development, execution, and management of a broad range of growth initiatives and business priorities across ACS. In support of the ACS COO, the Analyst will focus on all aspects of business management in addition to developing and delivering on ACS’s strategic ambitions. The ideal candidate will be a team player, a relationship builder, and a self-starter – and will leverage prior experience working in or alongside capital markets teams to drive content knowledge and thought leadership. The Analyst will act as a partner and play an integral role in the successful execution of strategic initiatives, external partnerships and overall performance. Immediate or near-term start date strongly preferred. Primary Responsibilities Assist ACS leadership in the day-to-day management of their businesses and progress toward firm-wide goals and growth targets. Help develop solutions to challenging problems facing the business. Act as transformational agent across a variety of functions to drive change across the business. Support ACS leadership in the evaluation and implementation of strategic growth initiatives, including new geographic expansions, capital market partnerships and a distribution ecosystem. Additionally, the role will include focused efforts on competitive intelligence, origination coverage models, implementation of technology for ACS and Apollo more broadly, along with improving organizational structure. Along with ACS business leaders and Apollo’s strategic finance team, act as an owner of the revenue & firmwide deal pipelines, tracking key fee opportunities and working with Finance teams to monitor performance versus budget. Assist with data integrity initiatives across the business including origination and syndication track records. Coordinate across Apollo on projects, acting as a liaison between the ACS teams and other functions (client and product solutions, technology, finance, human capital, legal, tax and compliance). Partner with ACS leadership and Human Capital to define and drive forward key culture and people initiatives. Support ACS communication efforts including maintain/updating databases, drafting internal and external materials for all-hands, town halls, roundtables, and potential investor day presentations alongside Investor Relations. Partner with other investment COOs and/or broader firm leadership to drive strategic initiatives. Assist in organizing meeting and operational cadence, including preparation of agendas and materials. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate institution with a record of academic achievement. 3-5 years of relevant work experience, with a preference for relevant financial services, asset management, and/or capital markets experience; corporate strategy or consulting experience in other industries will also be considered. Genuine interest in corporate strategy and business building within the investment management industry with an emphasis on hands-on implementation of growth plans. Excellent project management skills to facilitate and coordinate end-to-end technological and operational improvements. Consummate team player with a strong desire to help optimize and grow Apollo’s expanding ACS business, while helping drive day-to-day business operations. Strong modeling and problem-solving skills with detail orientation and an exceptional analytical skillset. Ability to manage projects and workstreams independently with acute attention to detail while keeping key stakeholders apprised of progress and status updates. Desire to take initiative and ownership – must demonstrate a proactive, positive attitude toward given tasks. Self-starter with a willingness to execute projects on a small, nimble team.
